Faculty/Staff Access to E-mail

On August 6, 2007, Clarkson University is moving from Lotus Notes for email to Microsoft Exchange/Outlook. You can access your email using Microsoft Outlook (installed on your office computer). As long as you login to your computer using your Windows Active Directory account, you will not need a password to access your email through Outlook.

Configuring Outlook to access Exchange

Accessing Email from Off-Campus

  • When you are off-campus, you can access your email using Outlook Web Access (OWA). Please note that you will use your Windows Active Directory (AD) username and password to lo into OWA.

Configuring other POP/IMAP clients

  • Incoming SMTP server: mymail.clarkson.edu
  • Outgoing SMTP server: mymail.clarkson.edu
  • Note: you must enable required authentication for SMTP

Moving Mail from iNotes to Exchange

Your existing mail will be migrated from the Lotus Notes environment into Exchange for you. No action is required on your part. This migration will take place during the week of August 6th. If you need to access your old email before it is migrated, you may still login to the Lotus Notes environment. Mail stored on Lotus will remain available until September 30, 2007.
